ALE Status & Monthly FTE Calculator

Enter prior-calendar-year monthly full-time counts and aggregate non-full-time hours to estimate ALE status for the following year.

Measurement Setup
Full-Time Reference

A full-time employee is generally an employee with at least 30 hours of service per week or 130 hours of service in the month.

This pass does not classify employees individually. Enter the monthly full-time count from the employer's selected methodology and retained payroll records.

Threshold Reminder

Because this pass uses aggregate monthly non-full-time hours, the user is responsible for capping each non-full-time employee at 120 hours before entering the aggregate total.

This is an educational estimate, not a legal, tax, accounting, or compliance determination.

Monthly Input Table

Monthly FTE count = aggregate non-full-time employee hours / 120. Monthly ALE count = full-time employee count + monthly FTE count.
